⏱️ Countdown to Kickoff
🟡 And much more!

3️⃣0️⃣ days from kickoff…

A three-time national champion, Kevin Richardson posted a video game-like season in 2006 when he set a single-season program record with 3️⃣0️⃣ rushing TDs.

During that magical 2006 season, Richardson also set a single-season record in rushing yards with 1,676 to help App State to a 14-1 record and the second of three straight national championships.

🔼 Looking Ahead. Last week, the Mountaineers got behind the mics at Sun Belt Media Days.

This week, it was right here at home as App State football gave an inside look at the season to come as the Mountaineers hosted On-Campus Media Day in Boone.

🔼 Tip Of The Cap. Once a Mountaineer, always a Mountaineer.

On Monday, App State men’s golf head coach Alan Cress announced his retirement.

"We are very thankful to Alan for his efforts in leading App State Men's Golf the last three years," Director of Athletics Doug Gillin said. "We wish Alan and his family all the best in his retirement. We will immediately begin our search for the next men's golf head coach."

After graduating from App State in 1991, Cress had successful runs on the teaching, business, administrative and event-planning sides of golf prior to returning to his alma mater in a coaching role. After working as an assistant coach for men's golf during the 2021-22 season, he was named App State's head coach in June 2022.

🔼 Fresh Faces. There are plenty of new Mountaineers that will be joining the family this year.

Today, we meet another new faces from both basketball programs and our volleyball squad.

While we know that Kevin Richardson ran for 30 TDs in 2006, how many total rushing TDs did Richardson end his legendary App State career with?
