🔼 They’re Backkkk. If you couldn’t tell by the whistles blowing, App State football is officially back in action.

On Wednesday, the Mountaineers returned to the practice field for their first day of training camp ahead of their season opener later this month in Charlotte.

🔼 Packed House. Make it a dozen.

The home opener will mark the 12th straight sold-out game at The Rock. In early June, season tickets sold out for the fourth consecutive year.

The Mountaineers' first 2025 game appearance in Kidd Brewer Stadium against the FCS-level Lions will occur eight days after they travel to Bank of America Stadium to face Charlotte in Dowell Loggains' head coaching debut on Aug. 29.

🔼 Be Our Guest. It may only be August, but hoops season will be here before you know it!

This week, App State Men’s Basketball announced that it will host its annual Tip-Off Dinner on Friday, Oct. 3. The event will be held at the Holmes Convocation Center.

National championship-winning coach Tubby Smith will headline the night's festivities as the keynote speaker.

Tickets cost $150 per person, while children under 12 years old can get in for $30. There is also an option to sponsor a table that includes eight seats, your company logo featured on the sponsored table and your company logo appearing on the video board for $1,800.

🔼 The Buck Stops In Cleveland. Two-time All-Conference honoree Bucky Williams has a new NFL home.

The former Mountaineer, who spent last season on injured reserve with the Chargers, signed a free agent deal with the Cleveland Browns this week and has joined the organization’s training camp activities.

In his two seasons at App State, Williams appeared in 26 games, mostly seeing his action at right guard for the Mountaineers.

2️⃣8️⃣ days from kickoff…

Sometimes, you have to pay homage to the ones who paved the way to today’s success.

192️⃣8️⃣ marked the first ever season of Mountaineer football. Playing under the tutelage of Graydon Eggers, the squad picked up three wins in their first-ever season of collegiate football.

Just two years later, the Mountaineers would see that win total jump to eight and the rest is history.

Which opponent did the first-ever win in program history come against?
