🔼 Marchin’ On. Two members of the #AppStateNFL club contributed to Wild Card wins that have their teams competing again this weekend.

D’Marco Jackson (Bears) and Nick Hampton (Rams) both advanced to the second weekend of the NFL playoffs with thrilling victories this past weekend.

Jackson made his playoff debut with five tackles, including 1.5 TFLs, in Chicago’s historic comeback over the Packers. Hampton and the Rams won a road battle over Carolina and will now head to the Windy City for a spot in the NFC Championship game.

🔼 The Boys Are Back. 30 days. That’s all that separates us from the return of App State Baseball.

This week, the full squad returned to the diamond to start final preparations for the upcoming 2026 campaign, which is set to begin Friday, Feb. 13 at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory with a three-game weekend series with Canisius.

🔼 Class Acts. Games, meets and matches weren’t the only places that the Mountaineers had success this past fall.

During the 2025 fall semester, a total of 229 student-athletes from App State were named to the Chancellor's List or Dean's List.

The 80 student-athletes on the Chancellor's List were full-time students with a GPA of 3.85 or higher during the 2025 fall semester, with inclusion determined solely by the performance in courses that earn credits toward graduation.

The 149 members of the Dean's List either posted a GPA of 3.45 or higher while carrying 12-14 academic hours during the 2025 fall semester or a GPA of 3.25 or higher while carrying at least 15 academic hours during the 2025 fall semester.

🔼 Rock The Vote. Two App State greats need our votes!

Dexter Coakley, a Hall of Fame linebacker at App State from 1993-96, has been named a finalist for the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025.

A native of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and graduate of Wando High School, Coakley has his No. 32 jersey retired in Boone. He was a three-time first-team All-American and a two-time winner of the Buck Buchanan Award that recognizes the best FCS/I-AA defender in college football.

CJ Huntley, who is averaging 13.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game with the Valley Suns, is up for a spot in the NBA GLeague Next Up Game.

The game is part of NBA All-Star Weekend, which is set for Feb. 13-15 in Los Angeles.
