🔼 Man, It’s Good To Be Home. Now that’s how you kickoff a four-game homestand!

In its first home game of 2026, the App State men's basketball team raced ahead to a 12-0 lead less than three minutes into the game, which lead to a wire-to-wire 80-65 victory over the James Madison Dukes on Thursday at the Holmes Center.

Highlighting the night was Kasen Jennings, who scored a career-best 23 points, including a personal minestone with his 1,000th career point late in the second half. 18 of his 23 points came in the second half as the Mountaineers pulled away for good.

Alonzo Dodd joined Jennings with 23 points as well. Dodd also grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds for his first ever double-double.

🔼 Key To Victory. In the first end of back-to-back duals, the App State Wrestling squad remained unbeaten against SoCon competition with a dominant 40-3 home victory against VMI on Thursday night.

App State won the first nine matches of the night, including receiving bonus points in seven of those nine victories.

The Mountaineers are back in action Friday night with a trip to Blacksburg, Va., to face No. 7 Virginia Tech. The 7 p.m. dual will be held at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech and be streamed on ACCNX.

🔼 Eyes On Us. Coming off a 2025 season in which the App State Softball program set several offensive records, the Mountaineers are garnering national attention headed into this spring.

This week, Sports Illustrated listed the Mountaineers as a breakout team to watch heading into the upcoming 2026 campaign.

🔼 Welcome Home. The future continues to get brighter for the App State Volleyball program.

This week, head coach Chad Sutton announced the addition of three transfers to the team’s 2026 signing class.

Joining the Mountaineers will be middle blocker Chelsea Gilmore (NC State/Louisiana) and outside hitters Charlotte Thompson (Mercer) and Brooke Doherty (Elon/South Carolina/Mississippi State).

The trio joins setters Eva Goodson and Lexi Shondell, outside hitters Amelia Mancino and Molly Teague, middle blockers Nevaeh Hays and Amber McClain, and defensive specialist Iris Williams, who were announced on Nov. 13
