🔼 Welcome To The Rock. Spring classes are underway in Boone and the App State Football program has welcomed the addition of 35 transfer portal newcomers from NCAA institutions.

The group includes 10 defensive backs (with five safeties), five wide receivers, four linebackers, three quarterbacks, three defensive linemen, three offensive linemen, two running backs, two tight ends, one punter, one kicker and one long snapper.

With 29 signees in December, including 23 from the high school level, that increases the total of announced newcomers to 64 for the 2026 season

🔼 Let’s Do It Again Today. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.

That was the case for the App State men’s basketball squad, who shook off a slow start with a dominant second half en route to a 72-58 home win over Louisiana on Thursday afternoon. The Mountaineers shot 68.2 percent from the field and 69.2 percent from three in the final half, while outscoring Louisiana by 13 points.

Jalen Tot played a big role in App State's stellar second half, as he totaled 21 second-half points on six 3-pointers.

The Mountaineers are right back at it today with a weather-shifted game against ULM. Tip at the Holmes Convocation Center is set for 12 p.m.

🔼 Schedule Shuffling. With an incoming storm scheduled to arrive in the area, the Mountaineers are shuffling some schedules around.

The home men’s basketball game against ULM scheduled for Saturday has moved to today at noon.

The women’s basketball game originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Louisiana is now scheduled for Friday night at 7 p.m. EST.

On the court, the women’s tennis match against Virginia Tech, originally scheduled for Saturday has moved to this afternoon at 3 pm in Blacksburg. Their home match against VCU for Sunday has been moved to March 6 at 11 a.m.

🔼 So Fresh, So Clean. With first pitch just two weeks away for the App State Softball program, the Mountaineers unveiled brand new all gold jerseys for the upcoming 2026 season.

With her 21-point effort in yesterday’s win against Louisiana, Jalen Tot joined the 20+ point club that App State have been building up all season long.
