Good morning, Mountaineers. The ticket has been punched!
Once again, #AppStateNFL is headed to the Super Bowl!
What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below.

🎙️ Mountaineer Mic’d Up
🟡 And much more
🔼 Super Bowl Bound! During his four seasons with the Mountaineers, Shemar Jean-Charles helped App State reached four consecutive bowl games.
Now, he’s heading to the biggest bowl of them all.
In his fifth NFL season, Jean-Charles and the Seattle Seahawks punched their ticket to Super Bowl LX after winning a thriller in the NFC Championship Game over the Los Angeles Rams.
After signing with Seattle in August, Jean-Charles has been on the practice squad all season.
🔼 On The Ground. Earlier this month, the App State Football program unveiled 35 new faces arriving in the Boone from the transfer portal.
One of those new faces was tight end Darrin Fugitt, who this week jumped on the mic and took fans inside the Mountaineers’ offseason work.
🔼 Midweek Matchups. The App State hoops programs turn the corner into the second half of the Sun Belt schedule with critical midweek matchups on tap tomorrow night.
Hosting Luau Night at the Holmes Convocation Center, the women’s squad is set to host South Alabama, who the Mountaineers are tied with in the league standings. The first 50 students and first 50 fans will receive free Hawaiian shirts, while the first 200 fans will get free leis to celebrate the night!
Tip off is set for 6:30 p.m.
The men hit the road for back-to-back road matchups against Southern Miss and reigning Sun Belt champion, Troy. Winners of three of their past four, the Mountaineers will look to continue their strong play when they square off against the Golden Eagles in Hattiesburg. Tip time is set for 8 pm.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. Another new face arrived for the App State Football program as the Mountaineers announced the addition of Ethan Baxter to the staff for the upcoming 2026 season.
Baxter was named the director of football research and administration after spending last season as Purdue’s assistant GM. He previously worked at UNLV and was a recruiting assistant at Arkansas for four seasons.

In his final two seasons at App State, Shemar Jean-Charles was among the nation’s leader in passes broken up.
In his four seasons with the Mountaineers, how many passes did the former All-American break up?
Got a guess?
