π‘ And much more
It's Homecoming Week at App State and we're chatting with AD Doug Gillin (38:47) about everything happening around the big weekend plus a mid-October report on all of our fall sports.
Also, Bret visits with LB Colton Phares (13:44) after his previous week included being featured in the uniform reveal video and an interception at Georgia State.

πΌ Tomorrow, Tomorrow. Homecoming in the High Country is something special.
Add a critical Sun Belt showdown to the menu and itβs a recipe for quite a weekend for the Mountaineers, who are set to welcome Coastal Carolina to Boone on Saturday afternoon.
App State is looking to keep pace in the race for Sun Belt East Division as the Chanticleers descend upon The Rock for a 3:30 pm battle.
π Game Preview
πΌ One Hall Of A Weekend. Not only will Homecoming be celebrated in the High Country, but the Mountaineers are set to celebrate the 2025 App State Athletics Hall of Fame class.
In alphabetical order, the 2025 inductees are Ryan Arrowood (Baseball β 2008-12), Pete Camelo (Baseball/Football β 1978-1982), Dr. Sabrina Hill-Johnson (Women's Track & Field/Volleyball β 1988-92), Dexter Jackson (Football/Men's Track & Field β 2004-07) and DJ Smith (Football β 2007-10).
This is the 50th class in the history of the App State Athletics Hall of Fame.
There also will be four Special Service Award winners recognized that evening: Earl "Junie" Bradshaw, C. Philip Byers, Joseph Gibbons and Jerry Harmon.
πΌ Breaking In. With the NBA season opener less than a week away, App State alum CJ Huntley is breaking in with the Phoenix Suns.
This week, he was dynamic off the bench in the Sunsβ preseason matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring two points, grabbing a rebound, swiping four steals and posting a +12 in 13 minutes of action.
Congrats to CJ on scoring his first preseason points last night against the Lakers!
He also added four steals and was +12 in his minutes in the Sunsβ win.

πΌ Raising The Bar. This week, App State junior Sophia Baxter was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
This honor establishes a new program record for the most MAC Player of the Week awards earned by a single player in one field hockey season.
The honor follows an impressive weekend in Michigan where Baxter anchored a defense that allowed only one goal across two games against Central Michigan and Michigan State.

Of the top 22 crowds in the history of Kidd Brewer Stadium, how many have occurred since the start of the 2022 season?
Got a guess?
