Bret and Adam get an inside look at the App State volleyball season with high country native Caroline Greene as the team rolls through the heat of conference play.
🔼 One Month Away. Hoops season is officially on the horizon in the High Country, with both App State programs now just one month away from opening the 2026-27 campaign.
On the men’s side, head coach Dustin Kerns has led the Mountaineers to a .500 or better record in each of his seven seasons, including leading last year's squad to a second place tie in the Sun Belt standings.
App State Women’s Basketball is set to begin its third season under head coach Alaura Sharp. The Mountaineers have put together a challenging nonconference slate that will give the roster time to come together before heading into Sun Belt play.
Both programs are set to tipoff on Monday, Nov. 2 with the men playing Merrimack as part of the Field of 68 Opening Day marathon and the women battling Eastern Michigan on the road in the MAC-SBC Challenge.

🔼 You’re In The Game. Your App State Mountaineers are in the game, and now you can be too.
Lifelong Mountaineers and brand-new fans alike can be closer to the action than ever before by playing as App State in the EA SPORTS College Football 27 video game and participating in weekly challenges for the chance to win fun prizes throughout the season, courtesy of App State Athletics.
Each week, App State Athletics will release a new Mountaineer Mode challenge. Fans will play the game as App State and complete that week's challenge by submitting a screenshot or video showing their result. Qualifying participants will be entered for a chance to win weekly prizes, as well as a chance to participate in a season-ending Mountaineer Mode Championship featuring fellow fans and current and/or former Mountaineer football players.
The first week's challenge – Play with the Mountaineers – is simply to win a game as App State. Submissions are due by Monday, October 5.

🔼 Happy To Be Home. Winners of four of its past five matches, App State Volleyball returns to Boone to welcome Coastal Carolina to the Holmes Convocation Center for a two-match Sun Belt series.
After rolling to back-to-back road victories at ODU last weekend, the Mountaineers kickoff a string of four straight home conference matches with Georgia Southern coming to town next weekend.
This weekend, App State will battle the Chanticleers tonight at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
The last time App State hosted Coastal Carolina for a Sun Belt series in Boone was in 2024.
