🟡 And much more
🔼 Punching Tickets. A split conference weekend for the App State field hockey program punched their ticket to the postseason, officially securing a berth in next month’s MAC Conference Tournament that will include six teams competing in Harrisonburg, Va.
Sophia Baxter, Lise Boekaar and Sarah Perkins all found the back of the cage to lead the Mountaineers to a 3-1 road victory at Longwood on Friday afternoon, before dropping a hard-fought 3-0 decision to #17 UMass on Sunday, which made the Final Four last year.
🔼 There She Goes Again. She’s up to her old tricks again, folks.
For the second time this fall, App State Tennis standout Savannah Dada-Mascoll is marching through the competition, this time at the ITA Regionals.
On Sunday, she notched yet another ranked win, taking down the 73rd-ranked player from NC State to earn a spot in the ITA Regional Quarterfinals.
🔼 #AppStateNFL Update. For the second consecutive week, App State alum Akeem Davis-Gaither racked up eight tackles for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
It was the fourth game this season with 8+ tackles for Davis-Gaither and he also added a forced fumble in Sunday’s tough loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The App State alum is on pace to shatter his single-season career high in tackles as he currently sits with 52 through the first seven games of 2025.

🔼 Movin’ On Up. With the 2025-26 men’s basketball season right around the season, two members of the App State coaching staff will have new titles next to their names.
This past Friday, Mountaineer Men’s Basketball head coach Dustin Kerns announced the promotion both Bob Szorc and Tanner Smith to Associate Head Coach.
"Bob and Tanner are future Division I head coaches," Kerns said. "I am excited for them as they have had a major impact on our program and have earned this recognition in taking the next steps toward running their own program. I am proud of their contributions and continued influence on App State Basketball.
🔼 Back To Work. App State Football came up short in a hard-fought game Saturday against Coastal Carolina, 45-37, and the Mountaineers will be back in action Saturday with a nationally televised road game at Old Dominion.
The noon matchup will be available on ESPNU.

With a goal and an assist in Friday’s win at Longwood, App State Field Hockey standout Lise Boekaar continued her outstanding senior season and is now up to 41 points on the season.
Where does she rank nationally in total points?
