🔼 Crown Her. What a fall for Savannah Dada-Mascoll!
The App State Tennis standout concluded play at the ITA Regional tournament as co-champion, a historic achievement that included defeating three nationally ranked opponents. She is the first player in App State women's tennis history to win the tournament as a single.
This marks Dada-Mascoll's second ITA championship. She previously won the doubles title with Isabela Romanichen during the 2024-2025 season at the ITA Conference Masters Championships.
🔼 Preseason Praise. App State Basketball is less than two weeks away.
This week, the Sun Belt Conference unveiled its preseason teams, and a pair of Mountaineers were recognized. On the men’s side, Eren Banks earned a spot on the second team, while Elena Pericic was honored on the women’s preseason third team.
Banks, who spent the last two seasons at Georgia Southern, joins the Mountaineers after appearing in all 33 games in 2024-25, making a team-best 30 starts. He averaged nine points a game and had his most efficient season at the collegiate level, shooting 46 percent from the field and 39 percent from 3-point range.
Pericic returns to the court this winter after appearing in 30 games and making 28 starts during the 2024-25 campaign. Last year, Pericic shot 42.3% from the arc, 42.1% from the field, and 75.0% from the charity stripe. Additionally, Pericic averaged 8.3 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per contest.
🔼 Coming Soon. Hoops isn’t the only program right around the corner as App State Wrestling is set to begin its 2025-26 season on Nov. 2.
The Mountaineers open up the campaign with a busy November with nine events on the docket.
App State will host its first home competition on Nov. 23 with the annual Mountaineer Open.
