Good morning, App State Fam. Is there a better view in the fall other than the High Country? We think not.
What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below.
⚽️ Ticket Punched
🏐 Staying On Top
🏈 The Pro Pipeline
🟡 And much more
🔼 Ticket Punched. Despite competing with 10 players for the final 56 minutes of play, App State's defense rose to the occasion, making an early goal hold up in a 1-0 victory over Marshall, to clinch a spot in the Sun Belt Tournament.
The Mountaineers posted a program-record ninth clean sheet of the season, handing Marshall its first home loss of the year. It marks the first time that the Mountaineers have won 10 games in a season since 2016.
Junior forward Ellie Garrison notched the lone goal of the match, heading home a corner kick from Aleesia Ambrosio in the 13th minute of play. Garrison becomes the seventh player in program history to score double digit goals in a season.
🔼 Staying On Top. App State Volleyball stayed on top of the Sun Belt East Division standings with a dominant sweep of Louisiana on Saturday night at Holmes Convocation Center.
Bella Hutchens led the offense with a double-double, recording 11 kills with a .667 hitting percentage and 10 digs, while Brooke Doherty was close behind with 10 kills.
Delanie Grevengoed posted a career-best defensive performance with 13 digs, tying MeMe Davis for the match high. On the net, the Mountaineers held the Ragin' Cajuns to a .096 hitting percentage with 13 team blocks.
🔼 One Week Away. A new season of App State Basketball tips off next Monday as both the men's and women's programs begin their 2026-27 campaigns with high expectations and plenty of excitement surrounding the Mountaineers.
Head Coach Dustin Kearns and the men's team opens its season against Merrimack in Rock Hill, S.C., at 6 a.m., before returning to Boone for its home opener against Christendom on November 4.
Meanwhile, the women's team, led by head coach Alaura Sharp, travels to Ypsilanti, Mich., to face Eastern Michigan in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge before hosting Montreat College on November 4.

🔼 The Pro Pipeline. #AppStateNFL was on display yet again this past weekend with Ryan Neuzil with the biggest performance of the weekend in Atlanta’s upset of previously undefeated San Francisco.
Neuzil played every snap up front for the Falcons, anchoring the offensive line in the 29-20 win over the 49ers.
Akeem Davis-Gaither continued his outstanding season with seven more tackles, including 1.5 TFLs in the Colts’ near takedown of Minnesota, while D’Marco Jackson had his biggest output of the season with six tackles and a pass deflection in Chicago’s Thursday night win over New England. In Charlotte, Sam Martin punted twice for the Panthers, including another one downed inside the 20.

With her goal against Marshall on Sunday, Ellie Garrison now has 19 career goals during her three seasons at App State.
Where does that rank in program history?
