What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below.

🟡 And much more
🔼 Down The Stretch. With just one regular season game remaining, the App State Field Hockey program is tuning things up heading towards the postseason.
The Mountaineers locked themselves into the #3 seed in the upcoming MAC Conference Tournament with a 3-1 defeat of Ball State on Friday.
App State will face either UMass or Miami (Ohio) in the opening round.

🔼 On Top Of The Mountain. A game-winning goal and a career record? Not a bad day at the office for App State graduate student Izzi Wood.
Wood broke a 1-1 tie in the second half by netting her 31st career goal, setting the App State Soccer career scoring record and lifting the Mountaineers to a 2-1 victory over Southern Miss on Friday afternoon.
Playing in her 86th career match, which ties Mumu Guisasola for second all-time, Wood broke the deadlock by heading home the go-ahead goal in the 56th minute.
The scoring title is the most recent accomplishment in a decorated career for Wood, who has been named an All-Sun Belt and All-Southeast Region selection each of the past two seasons. The Hickory, N.C. native eclipsed Casey Cleary's record of 30 career goals which had stood since 2008.
🔼 Called To The Hall. Late last week, iconic members of App State history received another honor.
The Southern Conference recently announced its 2026 Hall of Fame Class, which includes App State Football's 2007 national championship team that beat Michigan and Thompson Usiyan, a record-setting star for the men's soccer team from 1977-80.
For the first time in the Hall of Fame's existence, teams were eligible for nomination, and App State's iconic 2007 football team received the most votes among those nominees.
🔼 Back To Work. The Mountaineers put together a late rally, but came up just short on the road against Old Dominion, dropping a tough 24-21 decision to the Monarchs.
App State will enter the bye week before returning to action when Georgia Southern visits Kidd Brewer Stadium on Nov. 6.

With her goal in App State’s 2-1 win at Southern Miss this past weekend, Izzi Wood not only broke the program scoring record, but also now sits just one point away from taking over the top spot in the career points category.
How many career points does Wood currently have?
Got a guess?
