Adam and Bret preview a big weekend of fall sports, with App State’s football, field hockey, cross country and soccer teams all playing at home this weekend. Plus, they sit down for a revealing conversation with tennis standout Savannah Dada-Mascoll following her headline-making run of ranked wins in Cary.

🔼 Time To Rock Out. For the first time in nearly a month and only the second time this fall, the App State Football squad will be back at home this weekend when the Pac-12’s Oregon State Beavers arrive in Boone for a Saturday afternoon showdown.
The Beavers will be traveling more than 2,200 “air” miles from its campus in Corvallis, Ore. It will be the farthest any team has ever traveled to play in Kidd Brewer Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm on Saturday.
🔼 No Place Better. The football squad isn’t the only one back in Boone this weekend.
Mountaineer fans, you’ve got a loaded slate of action, including ✌️ home games for the nationally-ranked field hockey squad!
The High Country is the place to be this weekend, and we’ve got a huge slate in store!

🔼 The Big 3-0. Graduate student Izzi Wood netted her 30th career goal, tying the App State career scoring record, as the Mountaineers played to a 1-1 draw at Coastal Carolina on Thursday night.
Wood matched Casey Cleary, who scored 30 goals in 70 games for the Mountaineers from 2005 to 2008.
🔼 Ring Him. It’s been 10 years since Jaylin Davis was blasting home runs for the App State Baseball program.
A decade later, he’s still doing his thing.
Playing for the York Revolution of the Atlantic League (Independent), Davis tied a organization record with three postseason HRs to help the Revs to a second straight league title.
In the postseason overall, Davis hit .316 with three HRs and five RBIs. In 2025, the App State alum blasted 17 long balls with 48 RBIs.

Entering tomorrow’s game, Rashod Dubinion has rushed for at least 95 yards in every game and is averaging 128.3 rushing yards per game.
Where does Dubinion rank nationally in yards per game?
Got a guess?
