🔼 No Place Like Holmes. App State Volleyball stayed perfect in Sun Belt Conference play with a weekend sweep of Coastal Carolina at the Holmes Convocation Center, improving to 11-7 overall and 4-0 in league action.

The Mountaineers opened the series Friday with an impressive straight-set victory, 25-19, 25-19, 25-23. Freshman Amelia Mancino delivered a breakout performance with a career-high 13 kills, while Nevaeh Hays added eight kills.

Saturday's series finale provided the drama with the Mountaineers putting their toughness on display in a five-set, 3-2 victory (18-25, 25-22, 25-21, 17-25, 16-14). Delanie Grevengoed led App State with 18 kills, two aces and three blocks, while MeMe Davis turned in a season-high 31 digs. Raegan Richardson stuffed the stat sheet with 49 assists, 20 digs and two aces.

🔼 Clipping Their Wings. App State Field Hockey returned to its winning ways on Friday with a stifling defensive effort in a 2-0 home win over Ball State.

Senior goalkeeper Dakota Anderson recorded her fourth shutout and fourth double-digit save performance of the season, stopping all 13 shots on goal she faced to keep the Cardinals off the scoreboard.

Freshman and leading scorer Chloe Hook provided the game-winner off a third-quarter penalty corner, tipping a pass from Sophia Baxter past the goalkeeper. Brynn Shaffer doubled the advantage later in the period on another penalty corner set piece.

🔼 Three Of A Kind. For a third straight meet, junior Noah Martinson paced the App State Men’s Cross Country team with a third top-10 finish of the fall season to pace the Mountaineers to a third-place team finish at the Fire Tower Project Meet on Friday evening.

Martinson’s time of 24:21.5 earned a ninth-place finish, while freshman Jackson Tuck collected his first top-10 finish of his collegiate career at 24:24.8, right behind Martinson.

On the women’s side, all five Mountaineers finished in the top-40 with a 23-second spread to finish seventh in a 14-team field.

🔼 You’re In The Game. Your App State Mountaineers are in the game, and now you can be too.

Lifelong Mountaineers and brand-new fans alike can be closer to the action than ever before by playing as App State in the EA SPORTS College Football 27 video game and participating in weekly challenges for the chance to win fun prizes throughout the season, courtesy of App State Athletics.

MeMe Davis continued her impressive season on the court with a season-high 31 digs in Saturday’s five-set thriller over Coastal Carolina.
