Dada-Mascoll Marches Into Elite Eight at NCAA Singles Championship

Good morning, Mountaineers. A special weekend is on tap!
What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below.

🏐 Back-To-Back
🟡 And much more
🔼 Super Sav! And the magical run continues!
Savannah Dada-Mascoll not only made history, she’s shattering it after taking down a top-50 opponent on Thursday to advance to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Singles Championships.
Even prior to her match on Thursday, Dada-Mascoll had already secured the program’s first-ever All-America accolade.
🔼 The Boys Are Back In Town. Twenty years removed from winning App State Football's first national title, the Mountaineers' 2005 championship team will be recognized and celebrated this weekend during the Saturday afternoon tilt with Marshall.
App State's streak of three consecutive FCS national championships from 2005-07 began with a breakthrough triumph from a 12-3 team that claimed an outright SoCon title before completing a 4-0 postseason run with a 21-16 victory against Northern Iowa on Dec. 16, 2005 in Chattanooga, Tenn. Head coach Jerry Moore, now a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, led the Mountaineers to their first title during his 17th season in Boone.
The on-field recognition will occur at the end of the first quarter of tomorrow’s contest.
🔼 Coming Home. After being away from home for the past two weeks, the App State Men’s Basketball squad returns for a Friday night intrastate showdown with Charlotte.
The Mountaineers are coming off a hard-fought win over Dartmouth and sit at 3-2 overall, while the 49ers have lost back-to-back games to Davidson and Virginia Tech and sit at 2-2 on the season.
Tip time at Holmes Convocation Center is set for 6:30 p.m.

🔼 Back-To-Back. For the second consecutive season, App State Volleyball senior Maya Winterhoff was named to the First Team All-Sun Belt squad. It is the fourth overall all-league accolade for Winterhoff.
The Charlottesville, Va. native, who started all 27 matches this season, led the Mountaineers with 312 kills, averaging 2.76 kills per set. She was one of four Mountaineers to reach a career milestone this year, eclipsing 1,000 career kills on Oct. 10 in App State's 3-2 victory over Old Dominion. She recorded double-figure kills in 19 matches and recorded 14 matches with a hitting percentage of .400 or above.

In that 2005 National Championship game against Northern Iowa, who was the first Mountaineer to score in the victory?
