🔼 Belt Battling. The second season is upon the App State basketball programs as Sun Belt play has arrived for the Mountaineers.

The women’s basketball squad begins conference play today when they travel to Marshall for a mid-week matinee against the Thundering Herd, who enter the contest with a 9-3 record this season.

Tip time in Huntington is set for 11 a.m.

Tomorrow, the men’s team returns to the Holmes Convocation Center to welcome Coastal Carolina (6-5) to town for the league opener. Tip time is set for 6:30 p.m.

🔼 Dancing With The Devils. Tonight, the App State Wrestling squad hits the mats for one final time in 2025.

The Mountaineers make the three-hour trip east to Durham to battle with the Blue Devils of Duke.

App State has started the season with one of the toughest schedules to date and look to finish the calendar year on a high note heading into the 2026 portion of their schedule.

First match in Durham is set for 6 p.m. with the dual being streamed live on ACCNX.

🔼 Desert Check-In. Former App State Men’s Basketball standout CJ Huntley is making his presence known in his first season in the NBA G-League.

Through 12 games, Huntley is averaging 13.6 points and 7.5 rebounds for the Valley Suns.

He has scored in double-figures in 11 of those 12 outings, including three 20+ point performances.

This week, the App State Football team returned to the field to start preparation for the JLab Birmingham Bowl later this month (Dec. 29).

The game will be the 42nd meeting between the Mountaineers and Georgia Southern, but the first outside of Statesboro or Boone.
