The App State men's basketball team is entering Sun Belt play.

In the latest episode, Bret and Adam chat about it with conference player of the week Alonzo Dodd.

🔼 Not In Our House. The App State men’s basketball team used a dominant second half to roll to a commanding 67-49 victory over Coastal Carolina on Thursday night in the Sun Belt opener for both programs.

The Mountaineers were once again stout on the defensive side of the ball, keeping the Chanticleers to 49 points, their second-lowest scoring output of the season. Thursday's defensive showing marked the sixth time since the 2022-23 season that App State has held a Sun Belt opponent to 50 or fewer points.

Alonzo Dodd and Kasen Jennings led all scorers with 21 points and 19 points, respectively. Dodd's 21-point outing marked his second straight game with at least 20 points. He also rebounded well with seven rebounds, which matched his season high. Jennings fell one point shy of his third-straight 20-point game, but his impact was felt in the second half as 11 of his 19 points came in the final frame.

🔼 Winning Wednesday. App State Wrestling won the first seven matches, highlighted by a top-20 victory from Stephan Monchery, and finished with wins at eight of 10 weights in a 31-8 win at Duke on Wednesday night.

With wrestling starting at 184 pounds on Wednesday, App State (3-4) established a 28-0 lead via victories from Tomas Brooker (18-3 tech fall), Logan Eller (13-8 decision at 197), Monchery (6-4 at heavyweight), Cooper Foster (17-2 tech fall at 125), Jarvis Little (third-period pin at 133), Aldo Hernandez (2-0 decision at 141) and Brayden Fahrbach (10-4 decision at 149).

🔼 Welcome To The Rock. This week, a new member of the App State Football staff was unveiled by head coach Dowell Loggains.

Ryan Pugh was introduced as the Mountaineers’ next offensive line coach.

An All-SEC center on Auburn's 2010 national championship team, the 37-year-old Pugh has been the offensive line coach for the last four seasons at Abilene Christian, which capped a nine-win season in 2025 with a second straight appearance and victory in the FCS playoffs.

With his top-20 victory on Wednesday, sophomore standout Stephan Monchery continued his stellar run on the mat.

After starting his collegiate career at 11-8, what is his record since then?
