🔼 Welcome To The Family. The future continues to get brighter and brighter for the App State football program, who this week, welcomed the newest wave of Mountaineers.
Let’s meet the 27 signees, who have signed on to join App State next year.
🔼 The Dragon Slayers. The App State men’s hoops squad secured the 150th win of head coach Dustin Kerns’ career on Wednesday and did so in dominant fashion, slaying the Dragons of Virginia-Lynchburg, 133-45.
The Mountaineers saw four players achieve a double-double in Andrin Njock (19 points, 16 rebounds), Michael Marcus Jr. (19 points, 12 rebounds), Chad Moodie (15 points, 11 rebounds) and Luke Wilson (16 points, 10 rebounds).
The Mountaineers' 133 points marked the third-most points scored in a game in the Sun Belt era, falling just nine short of the program record of 142 set in 2022. Eleven different Mountaineers scored in the game, and seven players reached double figures. Nobody scored more than Jacari Brim, who totaled a career-best 20 points. Brim also dished out a team-best eight assists and grabbed five boards.
🔼 Power Pair. In a season in which the program earned its first national ranking, it was the duo of Lise Boekaar and Sophia Baxter leading the way throughout for App State Field Hockey.
This week, both players were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) South Region Team on Wednesday. Boekaar earned first-team honors, while Baxter secured a spot on the second team.
The honors follow an impressive 2025 season from both players, who ended the year as the team's leading goal scorers.
🔼 Three Of A Kind. For the third consecutive season, App State Soccer standout Izzi Wood has been named an All-Southeast Region selection, garnering fourth-team honors in 2025 by the United Soccer Coaches.
Wood became the first player in program history to be named to three postseason all-conference teams when she earned All-Sun Belt third-team honors last month. She is one of just 40 players in the 26-year history of Sun Belt women's soccer to be selected to three or more postseason all-conference teams.
🔼 Jolt From Jarvis. Facing a top-10 team in the country, the App State Wrestling squad got a jolt from 133 lb pound standout Jarvis Little, who picked up a 9-4 win over a two-time NCAA qualifier from NC State.
For his victory, Little was named the SoCon Wrestler of the Week on Wednesday.

In Wednesday’s win over Virginia-Lynchburg, App State grabbed 82 rebounds, falling just shy of the program record.
What is the program record for rebounds in a single game?
