🔼 Title Chasing. For the fourth time in the past five years, the App State Wrestling program is looking to lock up at least a share of the SoCon regular season title this coming Sunday.

On Senior Day at Varsity Gym, the Mountaineers will face Gardner-Webb at 3 p.m. Six wrestlers will be recognized before the dual. App State, Chattanooga and The Citadel are all 6-1 in the league going into their final matches Sunday.

Doors open to the public at 2 p.m.

🔼 Slugging Away. In case you hadn’t heard, the App State Softball program is off to the best start in program history at 8-1. The Mountaineers have climbed into the national rankings this week, sliding in at No. 24 in the D1Softball Mid-Major Poll.

Leading the potent offensive unit for the Mountaineers has been senior infielder Makayla McClain, who has already slugged six HRs in the first nine games of the season.

This week, McClain joined the D1Softball weekly podcast to talk about the program’s hot start to the year.

🔼 Class Acts. On the field, this past fall was historic for the App State Field Hockey program.

Off the field, the Mountaineers had the same kind of success, dominating the classroom.

This week, 14 members of the program earned academic honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). Additionally, the program received the National Academic Team Award for maintaining a team GPA of 3.5 or higher. The Mountaineers have earned this recognition every year during head coach Emily Dinsmore's tenure.

Stephan Monchery of the App State Wrestling squad reflects on the importance of Black History Month and why it's meaningful in a collective, unifying way.

As the men's basketball team enters its final two home games of the season, we visit with Kasen Jennings to discuss the stretch run.

Then, pitcher Sophie Moshos hangs out to talk about the softball team's 8-1 start to the season. Plus, we grill both guests on some 90's culture in advance of the 90's theme night at the Holmes Center on Thursday evening.

The App State Baseball team is back in Boone for the first time in 2026 when they host North Carolina A&T this afternoon at 2 p.m.
