🔼 Back On Top. With one game remaining on its regular season schedule, the App State men’s basketball squad finds itself with a half-game lead atop the Sun Belt standings.

The Mountaineers not only honored their three seniors, but did so with a thrilling 89-74 home victory over Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon. App State did so by closing the game on a 25-14 run over the final seven minutes.

Leading the way was Luke Wilson, who finished with a team-high 19 points, including 14 in the second-half, to go along with 10 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season. In their final home games at the Holmes Center, Jalen Tot (17 points), Kasen Jennings (16 points), and Alonzo Dodd (12 points, 10 rebounds) all put on a show.

🔼 Hardware Haul. Add another one to the trophy case.

For the fourth time in the past five years and eighth time in the last 11 years, the App State Wrestling squad secured a share of the SoCon regular season title, battling past Gardner-Webb, 25-14, on senior Day.

It's the program's ninth regular season title in 17 seasons under the direction of head coach JohnMark Bentley, who lost starters at five of 10 weights from last year's championship team and has three freshmen in this year's lineup.

🔼 Three’s Company. The hot start of the App State Softball squad continued over the weekend with the Mountaineers going 3-1 at the Tar Heel Classic to improve to 11-2 through the first three weeks.

App State’s hurlers struck out 25 in the four games, limiting the opposition to three or fewer runs in each of the three victories. At the plate, the Mountaineers blasted eight HRs on the weekend.

🔼 Sweet Sweepin’. For the first time since 2023, the App State Baseball squad is 6-1 after yet another weekend sweep, rolling to a pair of victories over North Carolina A&T, followed by a thrilling walk-off win over Southern Illinois on Sunday.

On the weekend, the Mountaineers pounded out 31 hits in the three games, including eight of the extra-base variety.

Jalen Tot made sure to give the Holmes Convocation Center crowd something to remember him by.

After averaging 6.4 points per game in his first nine home games, how many points did Tot average in his final six performances in Boone?
