🟡 And much more

🔼 Kings Of The Mountain. Only two unbeatens remain.

On Monday, two of the three SoCon teams with an unbeaten league ledger walked into Varsity Gym for an matinee matchup. The App State Wrestling squad walked out with their unbeaten record in tact with a dominant 30-6 home win over Bellarmine.

In a delayed-by-a-day matchup of teams with 3-0 league marks, the Mountaineers took eight of 10 matches against Bellarmine, highlighted by impressive victories from a pair of true freshmen (Colt Campbell, Cooper Foster) and Stephan Monchery's strong finish in a showdown of talented heavyweights.

Next up for App State is a 2 p.m. home dual on Super Bowl Sunday against The Citadel, who is the final team still holding an unbeaten record in the SoCon.

🔼 Prime Time Player. After providing one of the most impressive performances by a Sun Belt player this season, App State men’s basketball guard Kasen Jennings was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week.

For the week, the Atlanta native averaged 25.5 points, five rebounds, and 2.5 steals, while shooting 50 percent from the floor and 60 percent from behind the arc. He is now ranked as the No. 5 player in the Sun Belt Conference, according to KenPom.

The graduate guard's 33 points against Troy marked the first time that an App State player has recorded a 30-point game since Adrian Delph scored 39 points against Delaware on Nov. 22, 2021. It's the seventh-highest scoring game by a Sun Belt player this season.

🔼 Grand Opening. App State Women's Golf opened its 2026 spring schedule by placing sixth out of 17 teams at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate in Palm City, Fla., with Ona Lukes and Zoe Duval both recording top-25 individual finishes.

Lukes tied for 16th with an 8-over total in the 54-hole event at Hammock Creek Golf Club, highlighted by a 2-under second round, while Duval's even-par second round contributed to a tie for 25th at 11 over.

🔼 Speed & Smarts. Not only were the App State cross country squads at the head of the races this fall, they were also at the head of the class.

This week, both the men’s and the women’s squads collected All-Academic Team accolades from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. This year's accolade is the women's 15th consecutive honor dating back to 2010 and is the men's ninth consecutive honor.

The women's team recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.65, while the men posted a cumulative GPA of 3.33. Individually, 14 Mountaineers appeared on the Chancellor's List and 10 Mountaineers made the Dean's List.

We are now just 10 days away from the return of App State Baseball with the season opener against Canisius set for Friday, Feb. 13th in Hickory.

Last season, App State scored 367 runs as a squad. Which returning Mountaineer scored the most individual runs in 2025?
