🔼 The Hall Call. Hopefully Dexter Coakley has more room on the mantle because he’s got more hardware coming his way.

Late last week, Coakley added yet another Hall of Fame next to his name as he was announced as a member of the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025.

A native of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and graduate of Wando High School, Coakley has his No. 32 jersey retired in Boone. He was a three-time first-team All-American and a two-time winner of the Buck Buchanan Award that recognizes the best FCS/I-AA defender in college football.

This will be the fourth Hall of Fame for Coakley, who was inducted into the App State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008, the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019.

🔼 Finishing Strong. When the team needed them most, Ethan Wilson and Jordan Fisher delivered.

In Sunday’s series finale at ODU, the App State Baseball team had a six-run lead cut to one in the fifth inning. Wilson emerged from the Mountaineer bullpen. The graduate student brought a sense of calm to the Mountaineers, tossing three scoreless innings, before passing the baton to Jordan Fisher for two more scoreless frames in a 10-6 victory over Old Dominion to win the series.

🔼 On A Roll. Senior Savannah Dada-Mascoll is making sure to leave it all on the court for App State Tennis.

With two more straight set victories this past weekend over Marshall and ETSU, the Yorkshire, England native has now won 14th consecutive matches, dropping only two sets during the current streak.

She is now ranked #9 in the country entering Friday’s match at ODU.

In Sunday’s series finale against ODU, righthander Jordan Fisher picked up his second save of the season.

How many career saves does Fisher have for the Mountaineers?

Got a guess?
