🟡 And much more

🔼 Title Hunting. The hunt for number four begins this morning for the App State Wrestling squad.

Winners of the last three conference tournament titles, the Mountaineers return to Asheville to step onto the mats at the 2026 SoCon Championships.

The two-day event gets underway this morning at 10 a.m. and concludes Saturday, with the championship matches scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on the final day.

🔼 Saturday Night Live. And now there are eight.

The 2026 Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Championship is down to eight teams as App State awaits their quarterfinal opponent.

After last night’s win by Southern Miss, the Mountaineers will now face Texas State or the Golden Eagles tomorrow night in Pensacola. Tip time on ESPN+ is scheduled for 6 pm EST.

A win tomorrow night would set up a semifinal date with top-seeded Troy on Sunday evening.

🔼 Back To Work. The App State Football squad returned to The Rock for the first time this spring, kicking off their 15-day spring slate in preparation for the upcoming 2026 fall season.

🔼 To The Wire. In front of an electric crowd at Smith Stadium, App State Baseball went toe-to-toe with one of the country’s best, battling #15 Wake Forest to the final out, but dropping a 9-8 decision to the Demon Deacons.

With the fourth-largest crowd in Smith Stadium history behind them, the App State offense belted three home runs in the ballgame and the pitching staff combined for 10 strikeouts against a Wake Forest team that is now tied for the nation's longest winning streak, winning their 12th in a row.

Both men's basketball and wrestling are entering postseason action this weekend with championship aspirations. Bret and Adam analyze each team's opportunity to earn some hardware.

Plus, spring practice is underway for the football team, Bret chats with returning offensive lineman Trent Ramsey.

With the 2026 SoCon Wrestling Championships getting underway this morning, how many former conference champions do the Mountaineers have in their lineup?

Tomas Brooker (2024 champion at 184 pounds as a true freshman, before he missed almost all of last season with an injury) and Stephan Monchery (2025 champion at heavyweight as a true freshman, delivering a comeback win in the last championship match to help App State edge The Citadel for the team title).
