🔼 Back-To-Back-To-Back-To-Back. It was déjà vu all over again. Similar drama. Same satisfying result.

With the SoCon Championships tournament being decided in the heavyweight finale for the second straight year, App State Wrestling standout Stephan Monchery came through again to produce a thrilling team title.
 
App State won its fourth straight SoCon tournament title to top the program's three-peat from 1995-97.

Monchery, Tomas Brooker and Aldo Hernandez clinched automatic NCAA Championships berths in Cleveland via SoCon titles as the Mountaineers totaled five finalists and six top-three finishes en route to a tournament-best 94.5 team points.

🔼 Queens Of The Mountain. The App State Softball program put everything on display this weekend at the annual Mountaineer Classic, sweeping through the action with a 4-0 record to improve to 17-5 on the year.

In the four wins, the Mountaineers piled up 47 runs on 40 hits, including 10 HRs. On the mound, App State pitchers allowed just seven runs, while striking out 20 in 21 innings of work.

🔼 Winning Weekend. What’s better than a weekend sweep? How about two weekend sweeps?

That’s what the App State Baseball team delivered as they followed the softball squad with a sweep of their own, taking all three games against Presbyterian over the weekend.

The Mountaineers offense highlighted the weekend, scoring 33 runs on 36 hits, while App State hurlers allowed just four earned runs and struck out 34 in the three games.

After clinching its fourth consecutive tournament title on Saturday night, how many league championships does the App State Wrestling program now have in its program history?
