Mountaineers Bring Out The Offense To Take Home Series With ULM

Good morning, App State Fam. Call up SportsCenter! We’ve got a web gem!
What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below.
⚾️ Not In Our House
🎽 Soarin’ High
🔥 Hot Start
🟡 And much more
🔼 Not In Our House. The App State Baseball team used a dominant offensive weekend to take two-of-three from ULM in a critical Sun Belt series over the weekend.
The Mountaineers piled up 34 runs on 37 hits, including 10 of the extra base variety, in the three games.
App State picked up wins of 13-5 and 12-4 to win the series.
🔼 Soarin’ High. The App State Track & Field squads continued to soar into their outdoor season with a strong showing at the Duke Invitational this past weekend.
Leading the way was a trio of Mountaineer pole vaulters, including Matthew Gray, who won the men’s pole vault at the meet.
On the women's side, the Mountaineers' pole vaulters were at the top of their game, as Ava Studney and Lilly Nichols both cleared season bests of 4.08m/13-4.5 to finish third and fifth, respectively. The clearance moves both of them into the top 50 in the NCAA ranks this season.
🔼 Hot Start. Last season, App State Baseball alum Jeffrey Springs posted a career-high in wins with 11.
This year, it seems he’s looking for more as the southpaw is off to a red hot start for the Athletics. Last week, Springs took a no-hitter into the seventh inning against the New York Yankees in a 1-0 victory in the Bronx.
Springs is currently 2-0 on the season with a 1.47 ERA, allowing just eight hits in 18.1 innings of work.
🔼 Finishing Strong. As one pro alum gets off to a hot start, another one is finishing strong.
CJ Huntley completed his first NBA regular season with a career-best performance in the finale, scoring 10 points and grabbing four rebounds for the Suns’, who are now playoff bound.
Huntley and the Suns are the seventh-seed in the NBA Western Conference and will battle in the play-in games to earn a spot in the postseason field.
Two of the best days of the year are now available for registration.
The 2026 App State Football Dinner, Auction and Golf Tournament is set for May 28-29 and you can now secure your spot.
On Thursday, May 28, there will be a dinner and live auction in the Grandview Ballroom on the fourth floor of App State's North End Zone Building. The dinner starts at 7 p.m., following a 6 p.m. cocktail hour at the Hatley Pavilion on the field level of Kidd Brewer Stadium.
On Friday, May 29, the golf tournament will be held at Boone Golf Club with start times of 8:30 a.m. for the morning flight and 1:30 p.m. for the afternoon flight.

With his best performance of the year on Sunday, Tanner Nolan improved to 3-0 with six strong innings.
In his collegiate career (two years at Crowder Junior College, one season at App State), what is Nolan’s combined career record?
Got a guess?
