🔼 Sneak Peek. Spring Ball 2026 for App State Football concluded Saturday with the Battle at The Rock, giving fans a first-hand look at several scores under a bright High Country sun.

With temperatures in the high 70s on a picturesque afternoon, the Mountaineers went through roughly two hours of on-field workouts, including extended scrimmage periods, red-zone scenarios and end-of-game situations.

Head coach Dowell Loggains is entering his second season in Boone, and there are 66 newcomers on the 2026 roster. That includes 35 transfer portal newcomers from NCAA institutions and 29 December signees.

🔼 Dukin’ Em Out. The App State Baseball team delivered a MONSTER weekend in Virginia, breakin’ out the bats all weekend long en route to a Sun Belt series sweep of the Dukes of JMU.

The Mountaineers lit up the scoreboard to the tune of 43 runs in the three games, including 51 hits, 19 of which were of the extra-base variety.

🔼 Never Say Die. The App State Softball team delivered a huge Sun Belt series win and did so in thrilling fashion.

With JMU leading in the final inning of the rubber match on Sunday, the Mountaineers used a solo home run, four walks, a hit by pitch and a single by KB Bradshaw to score six runs in the bottom of the seventh and walk-off the Dukes for a dramatic 10-9 victory.

🔼 Drive To Five. The App State Tennis squad heads into this week’s Sun Belt Tournament with momentum on its side after picking up wins over JMU (4-1) and Georgia State (4-1) this past weekend to extend its win streak to five straight.

Sunday’s match was highlighted by 12th-ranked Savannah Dada-Mascoll, who clinched the dual with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 comeback over Maria Paredes, a two-time All-Sun Belt Second Team selection. The victory marked Dada-Mascoll's 20th consecutive singles win this season and the 100th overall of her career, including fall contests.

🔼 Wreckin’ Records. It was a record-setting weekend for a pair of App State Track & Field standouts at the Wake Forest Invitational.

Thomas Wlazlowski scorched the App State men's 5000m record with a time of 14:01.49, beating it by nearly seven seconds, and now has the best time in the Sun Belt this season by almost 17 seconds.

Matthew Gray reset his own pole vault school record with a clearance of 5.61m/18-4.75. This mark puts him at 6th in the NCAA this season. This is the third straight meet he has won the pole vault event.

Prior to his dominant showing on Friday against JMU, what was the longest collegiate outing of Nick DiRito’s career (including three seasons at UMass Lowell)?
