🔼 Seventh Heaven. As the calendar approaches the month of May, it’s tough to find a hotter team than the App State Baseball team.

The Mountaineers continued their red-hot play over the weekend, sweeping the Eagles of Georgia Southern to extend their win streak to seven and have now won 14 of their past 18 games.

Offensively, the Mountaineers pounded out 45 hits on the weekend, while the pitching staff allowed just 10 earned runs in the three games and struck out 19 opposing hitters.

With three Sun Belt series left, App State is tied for second place in the league standings with Southern Miss.

🔼 It’s The Final Countdown. This week, the App State Softball program looks to put the finishing touches on the 2026 regular season.

With just three games left in Sun Belt play, the Mountaineers are in a battle for one of the final spots in the upcoming conference tournament, scheduled for May 6-9 in Lafayette, La.

As they head to Texas State later this week, App State currently holds a one-game lead on Coastal Carolina for the 10th and final spot in the postseason.

🔼 He’s At It Again. At this point, it’s becoming nearly a routine each weekend.

Matthew Gray rewrote school history (again) as the App State men's and women's track and field teams took home team victories in the John Weaver Invitational. 

Gray had yet another mesmerizing performance in the pole vault. On Friday evening, he cleared a bar of 5.62m/18-5.25, resetting his own school record, which he broke the previous week, and the Randy Marion Track & Field Facility record that he set last season. 

In team scoring, the App State women had an impressive score of 291, almost 200 more than second place. The men's team soared to a score of 235, pacing the field from the get-go, taking home a nearly 100-point victory.  

🔼 What A Run. The incredible career of Savannah Dada-Mascoll ended in quite a run for the App State Tennis program.

Dada-Mascoll and her teammates fought all the way into the Sun Belt semifinals, ultimately falling to Marshall, 4-3, in a match that was marked by multiple delays and a move indoors to finish.

In her final match for App State, Dada-Mascoll capped her career with a three-set thriller at No. 1. A three-time All Sun Belt First-Team honoree. she rallied after dropping the first set to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, extending her winning streak to 23 matches, with her only loss of the season coming in the season opener. In her final year with the Mountaineers, she posted a singles record of 36-3.

Kameron Miller’s incredible three-HR performance on Friday against Georgia Southern tied a program record for most HRs in a game with two other Mountaineers.
