Last night kicked off one of the best times of the year for App State Athletics with the first stop of the Mountaineer Spring Tour ‘26.

Tomorrow, the tour stops in Charlotte with additional stops in Greensboro (May 20), Winston-Salem (May 21), Boone (May 22), Raleigh/Durham (May 26), Hickory (June 1) and Asheville (June 4) on the docket.

🔼 Miller Time. How else would Kameron Miller celebrate being named the Sun Belt Player of the Week?

Of course, he would hit his seventh HR in the past seven games with a blast in App State’s narrow 3-2 loss to Wake Forest on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, Miller earned the accolade after a monster week at the plate where he went 5-for-11 with four HRs, seven RBIs and seven runs scored for the Mountaineers.

Since returning from an injury that cost Miller 18 games, the reigning first-team All-Sun Belt selection has found his groove. The junior has homered six times in his last six games and is slashing .340/.522/.830 in the month of April.

🔼 On The Prowl. With one final round on the docket, the App State men’s golf team is on the prowl at the Sun Belt Championship in Madison, Miss.

Senior Herman Huus enters the final 18 holes just one shot back from a top-10 finish as he currently sits at 1-under for the tournament, good for 12th overall.

🔼 Slingin’ It. Last year at this time, Jackson Steensma was still wearing an App State Baseball jersey. Now, he’s showin’ out in the professional ranks.

On Sunday, the righthander earned his second straight start, allowing just two hits and one earned run in four innings of work for the Inland Empire 66ers.

In four appearances this year, Steensma has a 0.90 ERA in 10.0 innings of work, allowing just three hits and one earned run, while striking out 17 hitters and walking just one.

Kameron Miller is now just two HRs away from joining the top-10 all-time in program history as he currently sits at 25 blasts in his three seasons with the Mountaineers.

Who is App State’s all-time leader in career HRs?

Got a guess?
