App State Brew 5/27: Sky Soarin'
Gray, Mountaineers Set To Take On NCAA East Regionals
Good morning, App State Fam. The calendar may soon be turning to June, but our Mountaineers are still lacing them up.
Today, the track & field standouts battle the region’s best looking for a ticket to Oregon.

🔼 Sky Soarin’. This evening in Lexington, Ky., the quest begins for the App State track & field squad.
With seven competitors set to take on the NCAA East Regionals, the Mountaineers will look to earn tickets to the NCAA Championships meet at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. next month.
Tonight, junior Matthew Gray will take to the runway as the country’s top performer in the pole vault this spring. At the Sun Belt Championship meet, Gray soared to 19-2, the highest mark nationally and one of only two people to soar past 19 feet this year.
Tomorrow, the women lace them up with Lilly Nichols and Ava Studney in the pole vault, followed by Kendall Johnson in the prelims for the 100m dash.

Former App State standout Austin St. Laurent had a monster weekend for the High-A Everett Aquasox of the Seattle Mariners.
St. Laurent went 4-for-10 with three HRs and six RBIs in a three-game series with the Tri-City Dust Devils.
Later today, Matthew Gray is looking to become the first App State male track & field athlete to reach the NCAA Championships since when?
