🔼 Drive To Five. With just two Sun Belt series left on the regular season slate, the App State Baseball squad continued to put themselves in prime position for a postseason run with a fifth straight series victory, this time taking two-of-three on the road at Troy.

The weather caused some havoc on the weekend schedule, but the Mountaineers responded by sweeping a Saturday doubleheader against the Trojans with victories of 13-7 and 5-0.

At the plate, the offense combined for 25 hits on the day, while the pitching staff walked just five batters across 18 innings of play.

🔼 Earning The Invite. This past season, Kasen Jennings made an immediate impact with the App State men’s basketball program.

Now, he’s hoping to do the same at the next level as late last week, he earned an invitation to the NBA G-League Combine.

In his lone season with the Mountaineers, Jennings led the team in scoring at 15.2 ppg, including a team-high 25 double-digit scoring efforts, which included eight 20+ point outings.

The G-League Combine will run from May 8-10 in Chicago.

🔼 Thank You Seniors. On their final official day in a Mountaineer uniform, the App State Softball team gave their seniors quite a memorable victory.

Playing in a Friday doubleheader to close out the 2026 regular season, the App State softball team split the two contests against Texas State, earning an incredible 13-12 win in walk-off fashion in Game 1. App State trailed by as many as five runs in the contest before storming back to win the game on a walk-off single by Emilie Ching in the seventh inning.

The Mountaineers, who piled up 29 victories this spring, closed the day with a senior day celebration, honoring their six seniors for everything they have done for the program. App State honored Makayla McClain, Sophie Moshos, Marti Henkel, Dakota Daniel, Summer Simpson and Ambry Lucas.
