🔼 En Fuego. If this was old school SportsCenter on ESPN, the App State Baseball team would be featured in its “En Fuego” segment.

Down the stretch, the Mountaineers have been one of the country’s hottest teams. Since April 1st, App State is 15-5 overall and has won five consecutive weekend series to vault into third place in the Sun Belt standings.

Beginning on Friday, the Mountaineers will host Louisiana in the final home series of the season. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

🔼 Power Pair. App State Softball infielders Makayla McClain and Grace Barrett received All-Sun Belt honors this week, as the league announced its postseason awards. McClain was named to the first team, while Barrett garnered second-team honors.
 
This is the third straight year that two App State players have been named All-Sun Belt, and the second straight year that both McClain and Barrett have received the distinction. McClain's first-team selection makes her the first App State player to be named All-Sun Belt first team in back-to-back seasons in the program's Sun Belt era.

🔼 Inside The Ropes. Next week, Zoe Duval will be teeing it up at NCAA Regionals in Chapel Hill.

🔼 Rollin’ Along. App State’s own Jackson Steensma continued his strong start to the 2026 season in the Seattle Mariners organization.

This past weekend, Steensma posted a third straight strong start for the Class-A Inland Empire 66ers, going five innings, allowing just two hits and one run, while striking out five.

On the year, Steensma has thrown 15 innings, allowing just five hits, giving up two runs and piling up 22 strikeouts.

the winner of the inaugural RAM Pavement Paving the Way Award!

RAM Pavement will donate $5,000 to a charity of Anthony's choice!
