As the App State baseball team gears up for its final home series of the year, Bret and Adam visit with Drew DuPont to discuss both his journey to Boone and his path back from injury this season.

🔼 One Last (Home) Stand. One of the hottest teams in the country returns to Boone for one last homestand this weekend as the App State Baseball team welcomes Louisiana to town for a three-game series.

The Mountaineers, who currently sit third in the Sun Belt standings, are looking for a sixth consecutive Sun Belt series win. Entering the weekend, the Ragin’ Cajuns sit at 12-12 in league play, three games back of App State.

Since April 1st, App State is 15-5 and have vaulted themselves into the the postseason discussions.

First pitch for tonight’s series opener is set for 6 p.m., while Senior Day celebrations will be held before first pitch of Saturday’s (3 p.m.) and Sunday’s (1 p.m.) games.

🔼 A Lasting Legacy. On May 1, Appalachian State University officially dedicated the new App State Tennis Courts as the Jim & Elaine Jones Outdoor Tennis Complex, honoring the deep and lasting legacy of a couple who have spent decades serving the institution and the Boone community.

As Director of Athletics from 1974-80, Jim Jones was a transformative leader, expanding the athletic department from six to 22 sports and trailblazing the university's first scholarships for female student-athletes.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. Two new faces are heading to Boone.

This week, Coach Loggains officially introduced Camden Dietz as App State’s new Director of Player Personnel and Avery Bean as the Director of Scouting.

Dietz spent the past two seasons as the Director of Player Personnel/Recruiting Coordinator at Bowling Green after spending four seasons at the University of Kansas as a recruiting and player personnel assistant.

Bean joins the Mountaineers after serving as a recruiting analyst at Michigan last season and as a student recruiting specialist at Alabama, his alma mater, from 2022-25.
