Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of App State Football this fall. The Mountaineers will
host Maine on September 5 at 3:30 p.m.
87 Days Away. North Carolina native Dillon Galloway arrived on campus last fall as a true freshman and earned playing time for the Mountaineers in his debut seaosn.
After a standout career at Brevard High School, the 6-4, 240-pound tight end saw action in six games for App State, hauling in two catches for 14 yards.
Entering this fall, Galloway will look to take another step and earn more snaps for the Mountaineer offense.

🔼 Rising Up. Tonight’s the night.
It all goes down at 8:35 p.m. ET as App State track & field standout Matthew Gray steps onto the runway looking to put the finishing touches on an already historic season.
Gray is one of 24 men’s pole vaulters who will be vying for the top spot at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at iconic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
🔼 In Good Company. Just a week into his role with the App State men’s basketball program, Assistant Coach Jonathan Mitchell is already amongst an elite group.
This week, Mitchell was selected to participate for the second straight year in the 2026 TopConnect Basketball Symposium presented by Just Play Sports Solutions at UNLV.
The invitation-only event will bring together 50 rising leaders in collegiate basketball for a unique professional development and networking experience. Through educational sessions, leadership presentations, and TopConnect's signature speed dating, participants will engage directly with athletic directors, conference commissioners, search firm executives, and industry leaders from across the country.

This week, All-American Savannah Dada-Mascoll earned the program’s highest-ever final national ranking at #18.
