What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below.
🎽 The Oregon Trail
⚾️ Super Smarts
⏱️ Countin’ The Days
🟡 And much more

89 Days Away. It was a game that many Mountaineer fans still talk about to this day.
The date - December 4, 2010. The opponent - Western Illinois.
With several inches of snow covering the field and App State holding a 14-7 lead with less than four minutes left in the second quarter, quarterback DeAndre Presley scampered 89 yards down the field for the longest postseason rush in program history and the longest by a Mountaineer since the 1970s.
Presley finished with an eye-popping 264 yards on the ground to help lead the Mountaineers into the NCAA Quarterfinals.

🔼 The Oregon Trail. A little over 60 hours from now, App State track & field standout Matthew Gray will be stepping onto the runway looking to put the finishing touches on an already historic season.
Gray is one of 24 men’s pole vaulters who will be vying for the top spot at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. on Wednesday evening.
The pole vault competition is set to get underway at 8:35 p.m. ET.
🔼 Super Smarts. The success of the App State Baseball team wasn’t limited to the diamond this spring.
Late last week, Charlie Evans, Everette Harris, Gage Peterson, Ethan Puig and Max Tramontana earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances both on the field and in the classroom. To qualify, a student-athlete must be a key contributor who earns at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) and is at least a sophomore both academically and athletically.
🔼 Fresh Face. In just over two months, the App State Soccer program will be hitting the pitch to kick off its 2026 campaign.
They will do so with a fresh face on the sideline as the Mountaineers recently announced the addition of Kris Kirchhoff as new assistant coach on staff.
Kirchhoff comes to the High Country after two seasons as an assistant at Carson-Newman. While helping to lead the Eagles, Kirchhoff coached four all-conference athletes, with three garnering first-team all-league honors.

How many times has Matthew Gray finished first in the pole vault during the 2026 outdoor season?
