🔼 Opportunity Knocks. It didn’t take long for right-hander Gage Peterson to announce his presence amongst the App State baseball program.

After a standout 2026 season in which Peterson was named Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year and earned First Team All-Sun Belt accolades, the right-hander accumulated an 8-1 mark on the mound for the Mountaineers.

This weekend, the Jonesborough, Tenn., native could have his dream come true as he is currently ranked among the top-250 prospects in this year’s MLB Amateur Draft, scheduled to kickoff tomorrow in Philadelphia.

🔼 Secure Your Seats. We are just eight weeks away from the return of App State Football and fans can now secure their seat at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

Earlier this week, single game tickets for the upcoming 2026 campaign officially went on sale to the general public.

The 2026 schedule includes visits to The Rock by Maine, Charlotte, Old Dominion, James Madison, Georgia State and ULM.

Head coach Dowell Loggains is entering his second season in Boone, and there are 66 newcomers currently on the 2026 roster. That includes 35 transfer portal newcomers from NCAA institutions and 29 December signees from the highest rated signing class in Sun Belt Conference history.

🏈 The 2026 App State Football Schedule

Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of App State Football this fall. The Mountaineers will
host Maine on September 5 at 3:30 p.m.

5️⃣7️⃣ Days Away. Let’s turn to the history books and a 57-yard boot from Mark Wright in a game against Troy in 2000.

Wright lined up and knocked it through the uprights to enter his name into the record books and still remains to this day the longest kick in App State football history.
