🔼 Battlin’ Big Blue. One of the most most well-known home courts in all of college basketball will get a visit from the App State men’s basketball team this upcoming season.

On Friday, it was announced that the Mountaineers will travel to Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. to battle “Big Blue”, the Kentucky Wildcats, on December 5 in non-conference action.

🔼 Going Global. Last week, a pair of App State men’s hoops alums signed professional deals overseas.

Over the weekend, women’s hoops alum Elena Pericic joined the club, signing a deal to join the Italian club, Thunder Basket Metalica.

In two seasons at App State, Pericic played in 60 games, scoring 488 points, grabbing 252 rebounds and dishing out 92 assists.

🔼 Link It Up. Incoming men’s golf standout Brody Tidwell is showing his new squad his potential with a strong summer on the course.

Over the weekend, Tidwell fired a 1-under over 54 holes at the annual Porter Cup, hosted at Niagara Country Club.

His 1-under earned him an 11th-place finish at the event.

Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of App State Football this fall. The Mountaineers will
host Maine on September 5 at 3:30 p.m.

4️⃣7️⃣ Days Away. The countdown has reached 47 days!

Real ones will know about DJ Campbell.

Campbell was a four-year starter at QB for App State from 1989-1992, leading the Mountaineers to 30 victories, a SoCon title and three playoff appearances.

His total of 4️⃣7️⃣6 completions were a program record that lasted for 10+ seasons and now sits seventh all-time. He also ranks ninth all-time with 5,414 passing yards.

Off the field, he was even more impressive, earning First-Team Academic All-America honors and was named to the Dean’s List every semester in Boone.
