Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of App State Football this fall. The Mountaineers will
host Maine on September 5 at 3:30 p.m.

4️⃣5️⃣ Days Away. The countdown has reached 45 days!

The date: November 20, 2021
The opponent: Troy

With the end of the regular season on the horizon, the App State Mountaineers rolled down to Alabama and clinched the Sun Belt East Division Title with a dominant win over the Trojans, 4️⃣5️⃣-7.

Down 7-3 after the first quarter, App State reeled off 42 straight points, including pitching a 35-0 shutout in the second half.

🔼 Truly Legendary. App State Athletics' annual Legends Gala, presented by Double Wood Farm, will take place Friday, Sept. 4, at The Camp at Eseeola.

Established in 2017, the Legends Gala is a premier celebration of App State Athletics that recognizes the remarkable achievements of Mountaineers who have made a lasting impact on the University and the High Country.

The 2026 Legends Gala: Forever a Mountaineer will feature keynote speaker Leonard Love (football) and fellow Legends Vaughn Christian (men's soccer), Anna Freeman Healy (women's basketball), Kathy Moran (field hockey), Pat Swisher (football) and DJ Thompson (men's basketball).

🔼 In Good Hands. This week, App State linebacker Colton Phares was recognized as the Mountaineers’ nominee for the Allstate Good Works Team.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, academics and athletics. Established in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the program honors players who use their platforms to strengthen communities and support causes important to them.

As the league converged on New Orleans for the annual conference media days last week, we visit with head coach Dowell Loggains, QB Malachi Singleton, and LB Colton Phares to discuss their experience and excitement for the 2026 season.
