Good morning, App State Fam. We are just 15 days away from the Mountaineers bringing this energy back to the pitch!
What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below.
⚾️ Heating Up
🙌 Get Geared Up
🇺🇸 Among The Elite
🟡 And much more
🔼 Heating Up. Watch out folks, Austin St. Laurent is heating up.
The App State alum has been on fire this month for the Everett AquaSox, the High-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
In his last 13 games, he’s hitting .413 with four doubles, six runs scored and two RBIs to pace the AquaSox. He has reached base safely in all 13 of those games and has at least a hit in 12 of the 13 games.
🔼 Get Geared Up. In conjunction with next month’s FanFest, App State Athletics will host a Surplus Sale on August 15 inside Kidd Brewer Stadium.
The sale will run from 3:30-5 p.m., or while supplies last and will be located on the West Concourse of Kidd Brewer Stadium. Items on sale will include team-issued uniforms and equipment across all varsity App State sports, Nike apparel, fan gear, special memorabilia and more. Transactions will be by credit card only (American Express will not be taken). Shoe purchases will be limited to five pairs per customer.
🔼 Among The Elite. Appearing in his first USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships this past weekend, App State's Matthew Gray placed eighth in the pole vault to complete a long and impressive breakout season.
The youngest vaulter in the field (at both this meet and at the USA indoor championships in February when he placed sixth), Gray cleared the first two bars (5.42 and 5.62 meters) before coming up short of the third (5.72 meters).
Only five of the 16 competitors in New York cleared 5.72. All five of those competitors ranked in the top-16 in the world.

Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of App State Football this fall. The Mountaineers will
host Maine on September 5 at 3:30 p.m.

3️⃣8️⃣ Days Away. The countdown has reached 38 days!
The best way to follow up back-to-back National Championships? How about a third straight?
That’s what Armanti Edwards and the 2007 App State football squad did, piling up a 13-2 ledger en route to winning a second consecutive national championship.
During that 2007 season, Edwards was responsible for 3️⃣8️⃣ TDs, including a school-record setting seven against Richmond in the National Semifinal.
The 3️⃣8️⃣ TDs is the second-highest single-season total because Edwards followed the 2007 season up with 41 TDs the following year.

How many TDs was Armanti Edwards responsible for during his Hall of Fame career at App State?
Got a guess?
