Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of App State Football this fall. The Mountaineers will
host Maine on September 5 at 3:30 p.m.

2️⃣6️⃣ Days Away. The countdown has reached 26 days until App State returns to the gridiron, and 26 marks the number of consecutive conference games App State won from 2007-10 under legendary head coach Jerry Moore! That dominant stretch came on the heels of three straight NCAA Division I Football Championship finals victories.

🔼 Full Scheduled Locked. App State Women's Basketball has its complete 2026-27 roadmap! Head coach Alaura Sharp's Mountaineers will host 15 games at the Holmes Convocation Center and face three Power 4 opponents on the road, including first-ever matchups with Eastern Michigan and Northwestern. The Mountaineers will also take trips to Wake Forest and Virginia Tech.

The season opens Nov. 2 at Eastern Michigan in the MAC-SBC Challenge before the home opener against Montreat College on Nov. 4. Sun Belt play begins Dec. 16 at Marshall, with themed home dates all season long, from Luau Day to the Pink Game!

🔼 Class Complete. App State Track and Field and Cross Country has rounded out its 2026-27 signing class. Eight more newcomers (four freshmen and four transfers) bring the total to 19 signees.

The latest group is headlined by sprinter Romeo Brown, who blazed a season-best 10.16 in the 100 meters at Spartanburg Methodist, and pole vaulter Madeline Entwistle, whose personal-best clearance of 12 feet, 10.25 inches would rank top five in App State history.

The full class features 10 distance runners, three jumpers, two throwers, two sprinters, one pole vaulter, and one hurdler.

🔼 Academic Success. Congratulations to App State Women’s Soccer, whose outstanding performance in the classroom earned the squad a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award!

🔼 Get Geared Up. In conjunction with this month’s FanFest, App State Athletics will host a Surplus Sale on Saturday inside Kidd Brewer Stadium.

The sale will run from 4-5:30 p.m., or while supplies last, and will be located on the West Concourse of Kidd Brewer Stadium. Items on sale will include team-issued uniforms and equipment across all varsity App State sports, Nike apparel, fan gear, special memorabilia and more. Transactions will be by credit card only (American Express will not be taken). Shoe purchases will be limited to five pairs per customer.
