🟡 And much more!

Game week is officially HERE!

Not that we’ve been counting or anything, but it’s been 266 days, 7 hours and 16 minutes (approximately) since we’ve seen App State Football on the field.
That is about to change as GAME WEEK is HERE!
Training camp is over and preparation is in full swing as the Mountaineers get ready for their Friday night showdown at the Bank against in-state rival Charlotte.
Interested in hearing more from Coach Loggains? Check out his first game week press conference this morning at 11:45 a.m. It will be streamed live on YouTube, X and Facebook.

🔼 Leading The Pack. The title defense starts now.
Late last week, the App State men's and women's cross country teams were selected first in their respective Sun Belt Cross Country Preseason Coaches Polls. Both the men's and women's teams will be defending their 2024 Sun Belt titles this fall.
On the prowl for their third consecutive team title, the men's squad is projected to finish first, earning 79 votes and seven first-place votes. The men were also picked first in the 2024 SBC Preseason Coaches Poll. The women's team earned 165 points and 10 first-place votes this year, and are looking to secure back-to-back team titles.
🔼 Fillin’ Up The Fall Slate. The football squad isn’t the only one returning to full action this week as the field hockey, volleyball and cross country programs ramp up their 2025 seasons this Friday.
The cross country squads are set to host the Covered Bridge Open on Friday, while the volleyball and field hockey programs hit the road for their opening weekends of 2025.
🔼 The Comeback Kid. Ja’Den McBurrows is ready for another chapter in his journey.
The Michigan transfer is now in Boone looking to turn some heads when he takes the field for the Mountaineers after an injury kept him off the field for the majority of the 2024 season with the Wolverines.
Last week, McBurrows was named to the 2025 Comeback Player of the Year Watch List.
In his time in Ann Arbor, he appeared in 19 games, totaling 13 tackles and one INT against Michigan State in 2023.

🔼 Tough Road. After an electric first three games of the 2025 season, the App State Soccer program suffered its first setback of the year, dropping a tough 2-0 road decision at William & Mary on Sunday. The Tribe, who are perennial contenders in the CAA, broke a scoreless tie nine minutes into the second half and found another goal late in the stanza to seal the win.

What is the Mountaineers’ record in season openers dating back to the 2020 season?
