🏈 Eight Days Away
🟡 And much more

Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of App State Football this fall. The Mountaineers will
host Maine on September 5 at 3:30 p.m.

8️⃣ Days Away. The clock is ticking down. We are just eight days away from kickoff!
No better way to celebrate the #8️⃣ than all-time Mountaineer great, Brian Quick.
Quick is the highest ever draft pick in program history. He was selected by the St. Louis Rams with the 33rd overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft.
He is the Mountaineers’ all-time leading receiver with 202 receptions, 3,418 yards and 31 touchdown catches, breaking school records that had stood for seven, 31 and 43 years, respectively. He is the only two-time all-America wide receiver in App State history, having earned the recognition following his junior and senior campaigns.
🔼 Showtime. The time has come for App State Field Hockey.
The Mountaineers officially open the 2026 campaign this evening when the Tigers of Towson University roll into town for a 6 p.m. showdown.
App State enters the new season looking to build on a historic 2025 campaign that saw the program earn its first-ever national ranking, reaching No. 17 in the country last fall.
The season opener kicks off a big opening weekend at home, with App State also hosting Georgetown on Sunday afternoon.

🔼 Connect Four. Life on the road is treating App State Soccer well this fall.
Thursday evening, the Mountaineers moved to 3-0 on the road in 2026 with a dominant 4-0 victory at East Carolina.
The win was highlighted by Hayden Petrick connected with Ellie Garrison for two goals. It also marked the third consecutive clean sheet for the App State defense and the most dominant shutout since a 5-0 win over Wofford on Aug. 22, 2024.
🔼 Back In Business. The App State Volleyball team will also be getting its 2026 campaign underway this afternoon.
The Mountaineers make the short trip southeast to play in the Charlotte Invitational with matches against North Carolina A&T (today - 3 p.m.), Charlotte (Saturday - 5 p.m.) and Bryant (Sunday - 11 a.m.).
Last season, App State kicked off the season with a 3-0 weekend and will be looking to do the same this weekend in the Queen City.

🔼 Back On The Mic. Presented by UNC Health Blue Ridge, App State's weekly Mountaineer Talk radio show will make its 2026-27 return Sept. 1, in advance of the Sept. 5 football opener against Maine at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
For the fourth consecutive season the show will be hosted live at Rivers Street Ale House in Boone.
New this fall, Mountaineer Talk shows will air on Tuesday nights from 7-8 p.m. Host Adam Witten will be joined weekly by head coach Dowell Loggains and App State football student-athletes on App State Sports Network radio affiliates.
