Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of App State Football this fall. The Mountaineers will
host Maine on September 5 at 3:30 p.m.

3️⃣3️⃣ Days Away. The countdown has reached 33 days!

One of the emerging stars out from last year’s App State Football team was edge defender, #3️⃣3️⃣ Aiden Benton.

Transferring into Boone from Georgia Military College, Benton appeared in all 13 games in 2025, earning the start seven times on the edge for the Mountaineers. After ending last year with 41 tackles, six TFLs and 4.5 sacks, Benton earned Preseason All-SBC accolades from Phil Steele heading into this fall.

🔼 Mark Your Calendar. The fall slate is set for App State tennis.

The Mountaineers will start the season in Cary, N.C., at the ITA All-American Championships from Sept. 19-27 before the Sept. 25-27 Bedford Cup in Colorado Springs. App State is set to host the Mountaineer Hidden Dual from Oct. 2-4 before traveling to Columbia, S.C., for ITA Regionals.

🔼 Get Geared Up. In conjunction with next month’s FanFest, App State Athletics will host a Surplus Sale on August 15 inside Kidd Brewer Stadium.

The sale will run from 4-5:30p.m., or while supplies last and will be located on the West Concourse of Kidd Brewer Stadium. Items on sale will include team-issued uniforms and equipment across all varsity App State sports, Nike apparel, fan gear, special memorabilia and more. Transactions will be by credit card only (American Express will not be taken). Shoe purchases will be limited to five pairs per customer.
