🔼 Home Sweep Home. No better way to head into conference play than a home sweep of in-state foes.
App State Volleyball put together quite a weekend with wins over Duke (3-1) and Davidson (3-1) to push its record to 9-2 overall as it gets set to welcome James Madison to town this weekend for Sun Belt action.
Alli Morris and Maya Winterhoff each collected 22 kills in the two wins, while Addison Heidemann dished out 82 assists and MeMe Davis collected 48 digs in the two contests.
🔼 We’ll Take Two, Please. A second half comeback on Friday sparked a home weekend sweep for the App State Field Hockey program, which improved to 6-1 on the year, with the only loss coming to #2 UNC.
Kicking off the weekend action, the Mountaineers used five second-half goals to pick up a 5-3 victory over Ohio, and that was followed up with a dominating effort on Sunday in a 7-1 win over Vermont.
Frederique Grimberge had three goals against the Catamounts to lead the offensive attack, while Sophia Baxter and Sarah Callery each had two goals on the weekend. Lise Boekaar continued her strong start to the 2025 campaign with a goal and three assists.
With her three assists in last Friday’s comeback victory over Ohio, senior Lise Boekaar is now the single-season assist leader in program history with 14 already.
How many career assists does Boekaar need to also set that mark?
