🔼 Rolling Into Raleigh. For the first time in 20 years, App State Football is set to square off with in-state foe NC State tomorrow night in Raleigh.
The Mountaineers are off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2019 with reigning Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week Malachi Singleton leading a potent offensive attack.
Kickoff from Carter-Finley Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
🔼 Brace Yourself. Junior forward Ellie Garrison scored a pair of first half goals, and the defense pitched its sixth shutout of the season, leading App State Soccer to a 2-0 victory over Louisiana Tech on Thursday at Robert Mack Caruthers Field.
App State extended its program-best unbeaten streak to nine consecutive games, and registered its fifth road victory of the season, matching the program record.
The Mountaineers join James Madison as the only 2-0 teams in the league through two conference games.
🔼 Opening Act. App State volleyball opened Sun Belt play with a road win, rolling past Old Dominion, 3-0 with set scores of 23-25, 25-12, 25-16, 25-22 on Thursday evening.
Raegan Richardson and Bella Hutchens were a lethal duo for the Mountaineers. Richardson surpasses 2,000 career assists with 42 on the night, connecting with Hutchens for her team-leading 17 kills.
Charlotte Thompson and Chelsea Gilmore were not far behind with 12 kills at a .333 percentage and eight kills at a .727 percentage, respectively.
🔼 Super Soph. The reigning Sun Belt Men’s Cross Country Freshman of the Year is making sure everyone knows he’s back for more.
In App State’s second race of the season, Noah Martinson earned Sun Belt Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week accolades.
Martinson led the Mountaineers to an impressive second-place team finish at last Friday's Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. His ninth-place individual finish (in a field of 302 runners) helped App State place behind only No. 4 nationally ranked Alabama and ahead of such programs as Georgia Tech, Auburn and Clemson in the 29-team field.

🔼 The Fantastic Four. With App State Wrestling just over a month away from returning to the mats for the 2026-27 season, a quartet of Mountaineers were recognized amongst some of the nation’s best grapplers this week.
Leading App State in the preseason rankings were Stephan Monchery (HW - #17), Tomas Booker (184 - #27), Aldo Hernandez (141 - #30) and Kaden Keiser (149 - #31).
The Mountaineers are set to open the year at the annual Southeast Open in Salem, Va. on November 1.
